What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Gergely Vida: Our primary focus is on developing solutions that enhance AV connectivity across various sectors. These include corporate environments, higher education, government institutions, healthcare facilities and the entertainment industry. We specialise in signal management, with a strong emphasis on USB-C solutions, matrix switchers and advanced room automation.

What’s the news about new products/services?

G.V: We’re excited to introduce two innovative and unique products to the market. Firstly, the Taurus Dual Screen Extended Desktop enables users to extend their displays to two independent screens via a single USB-C connection. This Taurus model is perfect for modern workspaces that demand efficient multitasking and seamless BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) functionality.

Secondly, our new Taurus 1×1 Pro Dock Station is a versatile solution designed to meet the dual needs of modern enterprises. It functions effectively as both a high-performance on-desk docking station and a comprehensive meeting room solution, facilitating seamless, device-agnostic meeting setups, making it an ideal choice for environments that host a variety of meeting formats and those with varied technology preferences.

What are the ranges of products/services?

G.V: Lightware offers a comprehensive range of products and services, including matrix switchers, extenders, scalers, converters and room automation systems. Our solutions are designed to address a wide variety of AV connectivity needs, from straightforward point-to-point extenders to complex, networked AV systems.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

G.V: The AV market is experiencing significant growth, driven by the expansion of digital communication and remote collaboration technologies. As organisations worldwide continue to invest in enhanced connectivity solutions for hybrid working environments, the demand for advanced AV technology is stronger than ever.

What can you tell us about market trends?

G.V: There is a clear trend toward integrating AV technology with IT infrastructures, with a focus on scalability, usability and cybersecurity. Additionally, there is growing adoption of 4K video, wireless transmission and IoT integration within AV solutions to improve user interactivity and data analytics.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

G.V: At Lightware, we are dedicated to enhancing collaboration spaces, from simple point-to-point connections to complex multi-point environments. This commitment is exemplified by our Taurus product line. 

The Taurus UCX, our initial release, was a groundbreaking solution facilitating seamless USB-C connectivity. Building on the success of the UCX, we launched the Taurus TPX, an extender that extends USB-C capabilities into diverse AV settings. Most recently, we developed the Taurus TPN, a 10G AV-over-IP solution that addresses the comprehensive needs of boardroom connections. This lineup showcases our dedication to pioneering solutions that improve communication and collaboration across professional environments.

What estimations do you have for the rest of 2024?

G.V: For the remainder of 2024, we anticipate continued growth in demand for our products as more industries recognise the value of high-quality AV solutions. Looking to the future, we expect to launch several new products and upgrades, further strengthening our market leadership and driving innovation in AV technology.
